A worrying trend of rising child care fees
In this article Lynell Anderson and I explore how child care fees in many parts of BC have been rising, even when taking into account new provincial subsidies intended to reduce those fees. The conclusion: fees must be capped, ultimately by transitioning child care programs into $10aDay sites, and in the interim through stronger funding accountability mechanisms.

This policy note – written with Lynell Anderson – sets out to specifically examine five intersections between the issues of child care, the environment, and climate change, and provides 10 recommendations for provincial action.
